Momentum Magazine is headed out to Canada's most stylish and bikeable cities to throw our beloved readers a party and to see what Canada's BikeStyle looks like!

First stop is September 2nd at the Drake Hotel in Toronto! Momentum is going on a Gallery Spin with the Deadly Nightshades. The Drake and the Deadly Nightshades host a monthly bike-lead gallery tour of the trendy and influential Queen West West neighbourhood the first Thursday of every month as a part of Camp Drake. Meet at 6:30 at the gates of Trinity Bellwoods Park. After the stylish gallery ride, Momentum goes back to the Drake to be entertained by folding bike lover DJ General Eclectic. The Urbane Cyclist Co-Op will be there to talk about their 20 plus years of serving cyclists in the downtown core. Expect a fashion show with Me To We Style’s latest eco-ethical street wear, paired with the sustainable, functional cycling apparel by Pedaler Clothing. John Fluevog have donated their latest, limited edition vegan high-tops, and there will be a raffle with the proceeds going to PACTFashion, an innovative fashion academy for at-risk youth. The Toronto Cyclists Union will be providing free valet bike parking, and don't forget to talk to them about a Toronto Bixi membership. The first 100 people to register with Momentum at the Toronto BikeStyle Tour will receive a complimentary Big Wheel Ale by Amsterdam Breweries.Photographer and Momentum Contributor John Lee will be shooting bike-portraits, so shine up your bike and make sure you are dressed to represent yourself and the city you cycle in.

We say Bonjour to Montreal on September 13th! Momentum will be at ExpoCycle, Canada's largest retail trade show,  at Exhibition Hall in Place Bonaventure. After a long-day at the trade show, we are going to stretch our legs and go on a ride through Montreal to hot-spot Casa Del Popolo. (After all, what's the point of going to another city if you don't bike around and enjoy it, especially a city that celebrates cycling like Montreal does.) Guests will nibble on amazing tapas, sip on complimentary St. Amboise beer, and enjoy Montreal's infamous nightlife. Velo Quebec is playing tour-guide to Momentum, and will be showing us the ins-and-outs of Montreal's advanced cycling infrastructure.

We head back to our home in Vancouver on October 7th. The Vancouver BikeStyle stop will be right off the Carrall Street Greenway, at Calabash Bistro. This new foodie-heaven has gallery space in the downstairs lounge, that will host the Holy Chromoly Art Show. Expect an unusual fashion show, rum-punch, and dancing the night away...

But wait! There's more!

There will be door prizes every hour on the hour. Here are some sweet things you could win, just by showing up to have fun:

Love this party? Want to contribute? Want to sponsor? Want to cover it? Want to photograph this? Whatever your idea is, please email tour manager meaghan (at) momentumplanet (dot) com, and she'll get back to you right away.

  • Changes in Cities on the BikeStyle Tour

    Hi Everyone!

Thanks for your interest and excitement about the BikeStyle Tour! Unfortunately when we started planning our tour last winter we were too eager to hit so many cities at once that we've had to scale back the number of parties we can throw this year.

San Francisco has just been announced for Saturday, November 6th.

Seattle, we might still make it your way too.

Portland, Victoria, New York City, Chicago, we're sorry that we had to miss you this year. Hopefully next year!

  • Vancouver stop details

I'd love to come to the event on Oct7 - is there a time for the activities?
And - is anything else happening on or around that date?

  • Toronto!

Super psyched for Toronto, and glad to see that you guys are still planning to head to the States at a later date. For all you Portland and Seattle folks in the meantime, Canada welcomes you with open arms. :)
