An ex-costume designer and mother of two has designed a wedding veil that fits over bicycle, skateboard, ski, snowboard, equestrian and bucket-style motorcycle helmets, so brides can ride safely, without compromising their elegance.

The Tail Wags Helmet Covers Inc. lycra veils have hand-sewn roses with rhinestones and silver sparkles that shine in the sun, according to the company.

Toronto-based Karyn Climans, who designed the veil, started her helmet cover business to make helmet safety more fashionable. She says her products are a fun solution to getting kids to wear their helmets.

Momentum co-founder and creative director Amy Walker suggests not just wearing it on your wedding day. “Every day can be a celebration of your commitment to cycling,” she says.

But what about the groom? Perhaps someone will start marketing Flight of the Conchords member Bret McKenzie’s hair helmet, a helmet that looks surprisingly like his hair.
