The Deadly Nightshades are an all girl midnight bike crew and design collective, and were featured in Momentum's Style Issue #35, pages 54-55. Two years latter, Momentum brought me, Meaghan, on board as their new Marketing Manager. Naturally, for our BikeStyle Tour Toronto stop, I partnered up with the Nighthshade's monthly event with the Drake- the Gallery Spin. It's a cruise through some neighbourhood exhibitions and installations. This is a great warm-up for out BikeStyle party, think of it as a cultural group ride with scheduled stops! This is an ideal way to see the culture and fashions of Toronto's "it" neighbourhood, personified by art galleries, vintage stores, fashion-forward boutiques, Pho houses, and a lot of bicycles .
Meet us at 6:30 September 2nd, at the gates of Trinity Bellwoods. Expect a little treat from Zara's Kitchen and Dufflet pastries. On this ride, we'll be seeing a few of the current exhibitions off Queen Street, including Alex McLeod at Angell Gallery, The 8th Annual & Original Square Foot Show at AWOL Gallery and the fall exhibitions at Meta Gallery and 107 Shaw. When guest get back to the Drake, they'll be treated to a complimentary Big Wheel ale, hair and make-up touch ups by AVEDA, and a photobooth with John Lee, the photographer who took the photos of the Deadly Nightshades Momentum article. Click on our slideshow to see great images of the past, July 1st Canada Day Gallery Spin by Mr Lee.
If you can't make it on this spin with us, you can check back at a latter date for photo of all the fun you are going to miss. Just sayin'.
See you in Toronto.
