Opus BEE BIKE

$176 CAD, not available in the USA

 http://www.opusbike.com/

This aluminum framed 12 inch wheeled balance bike sports a rear v-brake and inflatable knobby tires

Pros:

The v-brakes are a nice addition, as most run bikes do not include this feature. For kids 3 and up, this run bike looks like a regular kids bike but without the pedals.

Cons:

The knobby tires would be great if we road our bikes on different terrain, but since we mostly just ride on the sidewalk, it made riding the bike a little less zippy than other run bikes on the market.

Ideal Rider

Ideal for a child around 3 to 5 who has never had a smaller run bike before. This run bike is perfect for new riders wanting to gain confidence before getting a set of pedals!

Overall

For kids who are learning to ride a bike for the first time but aren't toddlers, this run bike is a well-suited transition bike to help your child learn to have confidence balancing before pedalling.

Francois Bernaudin is the father of two two-wheeled kids who are almost 3 and 5. Since their family car has stopped working, instead of replacing it, they have joined Modo a car share cooperative and are using their bicycles and motorbikes to get from A to B on a daily basis in Vancouver, BC.
