With classic styling and top-end modern components (Shimano Deore rear derailleur and nine speed Sora drive train coupled with FSA Vero triple crank) this is a snappy little touring bike that handles like a thoroughbred when unloaded and carries weight like a workhorse. With a full load on the front and rear, the Largo seems glued to the pavement, and even on light gravel is stable. My only concern would be about the shifters – the integrated brake shifters (Shimano Sora ST-3400) would be a real challenge to fix if they broke on tour and seemed a bit loose.

I just bought an Opus Largo, last year's model but similar. I've put about 500 km on it, mostly unloaded, at the moment. Most of the rides have been on road and some on stone dust paths. I agree that it is a great ride. Shifters are smooth and it handles beatutifully. It's the most comfortable bike I've ever had.
