This bag is made of a quilted nylon corduroy-like material with an integrated thin layer of padding. The base has a large rubber boot to prevent your bag from tipping over when on the ground.
There are four pockets that line the insides of the bag, leaving a large main compartment that can be filled with your imagination. We found it held a pack of diapers just as well as eight one liter bottles of milk. It has two stiff strings that, when opened, hold the bag in the open position for easy access to your stuff. There is also a small zippered pocket on the inside near the top of the bag that is just big enough for your wallet, keys and mobile phone.
Pros
The rugged construction makes this an ideal everyday pannier that will survive. The rubber boot that keeps the bag upright, combined with the zipper opening that can stay open, makes the task of putting things in the bag and taking them out a dream. The padded shoulder strap fits into a pocket so that you can stow it away while riding.
Cons
The waterproof cover works fine, but it is an extra step you have to think about when you are faced with a rainy bike ride. The main bag seems to repel rain fairly well on a short trip in the rain.
Ideal Rider
This is a bag that will last a long time and, with the shoulder strap, can bridge the gap between the moment you leave your bike and when you finally reach your destination.
Overall
It did not take long for this bag to go into heavy rotation as a regular commuting bag.
