What is your BikeStyle?

Designer denim remixed with Daddy and Dirt. I had a denim-themed wedding, so if it’s good enough to get married in, it’s good enough to ride in.

What are your favorite clothes to bike in?

Any outfit that has a bit of denim and a splash of color. I’m addicted to G-Shock watches and wear one 24/7.

Where are we most likely to spot your bike?

If it hasn’t been stolen (damn you, bike thieves!) it’s near a café or farmers market between High Park, Trinity-Bellwoods and the Evergreen Brick Works.

What do you like most about riding?

It allows me to interact with my city and family on a personal level; it gives me a way to connect to more with less. I also love random stoplight conversations and the scent trails that evade you in a car, although not all of those are good.

What is your dream bike for everyday cycling?

With two kids it has to be a cargo bike: a Larry vs. Harry Bullitt Clockwork or a trioBike Mono S. We test rode a trioBike this summer and now the kids want it back.

What did you eat for breakfast?

Vega One Vanilla Chai organic kale smoothie with a side of bacon. Apparently there is a bacon shortage. Not my fault.

What song is most played on your iPod?

“In Decay” by Phedre. It’s my alarm song.

Basket or panniers?

Panniers: Ortlieb Bike Shoppers. They’re waterproof and portable, for all my digital things.
