He's on a roll.
Jasper has turned into a biking fiend. He loves riding whenever and wherever he can. Although he's still happy to hop on the back of my cargo bike or hitch a ride on the trail-a-bike with Derek, Jasper prefers riding his very own bike.
Here he is on his Opus Scout. It's an awesome 16 inch, lightweight, very responsive little ride.
Jasper loves flying downhill. He's learning to use both his hand brake and his coaster brake to have more control over the longer downhills. And he can tell you all about the speed wobbles and the mighty crashes he experienced while developing that control.
I love that the bike is light enough for Jasper to push up smaller hills on his own. And light enough for me to be able to carry when he gets tired or frustrated on long hills.
When Jasper's had enough biking he likes to stop and play. Sometimes he helps beaver's build their dams. Other times he designs jumps for the rest of us to go over. And other times he's just ready for a snack and a chat. Sooner or later the break is over and he hops back on his bike, ready to keep on rolling.
Happy riding!
Kathleen
