There were some slush puddles, lots of gravel, a few icy patches and other obstacles along the way. Those just made his ride more fun.

At first I was reluctant to say yes to Jasper riding his Opus Scout in the winter because it is such a beautiful bike. But it's very well made and when the rest of us overhaul our bikes this spring, he'll just have to work on overhauling his bike.

When Jasper rides his own bike, I lace up my running shoes and run beside him on the sidewalk.

Lately I've been getting some awesome sprint training in as Jasper picks up speed.

Yay for winter biking! (and winter running!)
