Cyclepalooza LeadTen days of bike fun in Calgary, AB.
By Aretha Munro
A bike-friendly ten-day event is coming to Cowtown! June 17-26, Calgary area cyclists and soon-to-be cyclists can enjoy a bike themed festival during Bike Month.
It is run by individuals, groups and businesses who organize their own events. Absolutely anyone can ride and organize family-friendly and adult only events. These community-organized events are posted on Cyclepalooza's online calendar.
Calgary's all new, do-it-yourself Cyclepalooza is inspired by Portland's Pedalpalooza and Vancouver's Velopalooza. The goal of this first ever Cyclealooza festival is to "bring more publicity and interest to cycling and its positive impacts on communities and to bring communities together through cycling."
There is still time to add your ride and/ or event today if you are in the Calgary area. Visit the Cyclepalooza official website and calendar of events here.
