    Original Scraper Bikes is collaborating with Roots and Branches and the City of Oakland Parks and Recreation to host a youth-led bicycle ride through Oakland to connect multiple communities around bicycles, art, music and food, and celebrate the City of Oakland Scraper Bike Summer Camp.

    The scraper bike movement, started by Tyrone "Baybe Champ the Scraper Bike King" Stevenson, gets kids to build, repair and decorate bikes in ways inspired by "scraper" cars (think a low-riding Buick with a candy-colored paint job and flashy rims). In order to stay in the group, kids must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

    The day includes a bike ride leaving from Frank Ogawa Plaza at 11 a.m., and a festival at Arroyo Viejo Park (7701 Krause Ave.). The Roots and Branches stage will feature performances by
