we were in Estonia for a few days a couple of years ago and did an AMAZING bike tour of former Soivet era things - including the scariest jail I can imagine - led by a very interesting college student age local. It was certainly NOT the typical tourist sites, and our guide was nearly as interesting as the places we visited.

http://www.biketoursatl.com/ has a few great options to learn about the Capitol of GA. And the BeltLine also now has bike tours for its paved paths: http://beltline.org/programs/atlanta-beltline-tours/bike-tours/

Cycle the City, Burlington VT

If you are up in the great North East, Burlington has a great 10 mile loop taking in the best the Queen City has to offer. It is un-guided by a human but there is an awesome mobile guide and full size historical guide which will make you feel like you have a personal guide by your side. Check it out up here some time. www.localmotion.org/ctc
