The Poncho Via is a fashion-driven, hardshell with a cape-inspired silhouette. Made with a three-layer blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton, the Poncho Via features a relaxed and breathable fit. Complemented by a seam-sealed construction and DWR finish, the shell ensures the wearer is protected from inclement weather. The extended back length can also easily cover a backpack for additional pack protection. Stylish details include pull-over dolman sleeves and a belted waist that ties in the front or back.

This is an eco-conscious, waterproof poncho with flair.
There is an inherent awkwardness in putting on and taking off a poncho, but any changes to alter this would make it into a jacket.
I never thought a rain poncho could have this much style. The Poncho Via was lighter than other rain jackets and it could fold down to fit in my purse. The color I tested, Beetle, was a subtle green that is attractive without standing out too much. The drawstring let me create two different looks, either by tying it in the front or tying it in the back.
In the rain, the poncho kept everything dry. The sleeve length was perfect and the cuffs have buttons (rather than Velcro) allowing you to tighten them to keep rain and wind out. The poncho didn't need vents because, by design, it fits flowy and the fabric is light and breathable. The cut was perfect for keeping my backside dry. The back hung over my saddle and was low enough to keep everything dry, but loose enough that it didn’t catch on my saddle when I dismounted at lights or my destination. The shorter length up front was not restrictive and provided coverage over the tops of my legs. I was also surprised to find that with a little struggle the hood did fit over my helmet and stayed put while riding. The poncho was fun and billowy in the wind.
A large zippered kangaroo pocket was deep enough that I was confident that my phone and other items would stay in, I just had to remember to zip up both sides.
