More Yoga for the City Rider

Just as you oil your chain and pump your tires, yoga is body maintenance for riding.

Yoga is a wonderful complement to cycling. Just as you oil your chain and pump your tires, yoga is body maintenance for riding. Sometimes, an enthusiastic ride can tighten up your chest, hips, back, and thighs. Try sneaking these helpful poses into your day and you will feel your body move back into alignment, readying for your next journey.

Meet the teacher

Charlotte Herst is a yoga teacher and musician based in East Vancouver, BC. Charlotte pedals with a child’s curiosity, whether she’s laden with grocery-filled panniers or not, and sees each ride as an empowering and freeing adventure. You can hear her singing as she flies down hills and see her practice yoga poses on her bicycle that you should probably not try yourself.
