As someone whos about to purchase his first fixe, you can learn how to take care ,and maintain your bike ,by knowing how it's put together, and maybe putting it together yourself, and when you need to replace a part, instead of having to take it back to the shoppe, you can just do it yourself, due to the fact that you built it yourself...No?
