In Mexico, experts have predicted that personal vehicle ownership will grow by 350% over the next 20 years.

This video examines the societal impacts of the growing use of, and dependency on, personal motorized vehicles in Mexico.

Increasing traffic congestion, the resulting time loss, stress, pollution, health issues, loss of public space, damages from collisions and climate change are all factors that must be considered when determining the full cost of excessive car use.

On top of these societal costs, there are also the subsidies that all residents pay towards fuel, yet in Mexico only 30% of the population benefits from them.

Promoting the reduction of car use this video was created by ITDP Mexico with support from the British Embassy in Mexico. For more information about the project, visit: http://mexico.itdp.org/que-hacemos/reduccion-del-uso-del-automovil/

Al final del video se menciona que habra mas "felicidad y calidad de vida". Yo creo que esto se puede expander mas y podemos decir mas salud, mejor sentido de comunidad, etc.
