Bern has become one of the premiere choices for urban rider’s bike helmets. While some brands have come out with bike helmets that have a more feminine pattern or color, Bern has launched a women’s helmet, the Melrose, designed for a woman’s head, and her sense of style.

While most helmets hit too low on the skull to wear your hair up (and are fitted enough – rightly so – that you can’t wear your hair up in the helmet), the Melrose Women’s Bike Helmet offers a higher cut in the back so you can wear a cute chignon bun, or a low ponytail. With the higher rises, you don’t have to worry about the “bike helmet indent-wave” in your hair when you remove your helmet at work – something we’ve all had to deal with. You know that singular “indent-wave” in your hair? The one that would be cute if there were more of them but it turns out looking weird because it’s right at ear level? Yeah, that one. No more of those.

The softer lines of the helmet and the flip-up visor also help to make the helmet look fashionable. Bern’s Zip Mold Plus foam is engineered to be thin, however keeping the strength and safety of Bern helmets Brand. The strength-to-width ratio is strategically tapered which results in a 15% lighter shell. And with that lighter, thinner helmet, you won’t look like a space ranger, but a modern and stylish city bike rider – which is what you want to look like, right?

Other key features include sixteen ergonomically placed vents for airflow and moisture control. As well, Bern teamed up with Boa Closure System, so that you can enjoy the patented performance dial system of the nearest-as-possible custom fit.

The Melrose Helmet comes in three color ways: Fuchsia/ Grey, Teal Blue/ Yellow, and Black/ Gold. Find the Melrose available online or at local retailer across North America, and get ready to up your bike fashion game with this sleek and stylish helmet.

Great helmet, I just smashed one – could’ve been my brain on the asphalt but was just a cracked Melrose instead. Can’t wait to get another!
