Brompton Launches Instagram Video Competition: #MyUnSeenCity

Brompton is hosting an Instagram competition to celebrate the launch of their second run of the Black Edition bike.

After numerous requests from customers (or hopeful customers), Brompton Bicycle has announced a second special production run of the Black Edition, following the quick sell-out of the initial run earlier this year.

The Black Edition Brompton is inspired by night-time bike riding in cities. So far, the model has been attracting a younger, more urban audience interested in exploring the freedom of city life by bike.

Due to the initial success of the model, Brompton has decided to give the people what they want. This second production run of the Black Edition will be available to order in S (flat), M (upright) and H (more upright) style handlebars with either two- or six-speed gear options. As before, the extremities of the frame will be black, with colorways of Black, White, Lime Green, Lagoon Blue, and a new color option, Orange.

To celebrate the launch, Brompton is hosting a global media competition, asking participants to create 15-second videos showcasing the hidden gems that make city living so unique, and upload them to Instagram using the hashtag #MyUnSeenCity. The top ten films will be shortlisted and judged by a film industry panel of major players, including Guy Richie (Director of Man from Uncle, Sherlock Holmes, and Snatch) and Josh Berger (President and MD of Warner Bros. UK and Harry Potter Global), all of whom are proud Brompton owners.

The first place winner will receive a special Black Edition bike as well as a grand prize trip to London including the chance to take part in the 2016 Brompton World Championship. The first place film will also be shown worldwide in Brompton’s ten flagship Junction stores as well as online. The two runners up will also come away with custom-made Black Edition Bikes.

The competition will be open to anyone with an Instagram account and will kick off on November 19th, 2015. The winner will be announced at the end of March 2016. All competition entries will be available to view on Instagram, on Bromton’s own  global web page and on Facebook.

So here’s your chance to get Insta-famous, time to break out those bikes and smartphones.
