Pop Superstar Katy Perry’s Custom Painted Bicycle

Known for arriving at concert venues by bike, pop superstar Katy Perry will now be riding in on a very colorful custom ride.

While on tour in Australia, the performer was presented with an Avanti bicycle custom-painted and decaled by Paint My Bike.

“The frame was first painted white, we then applied all the decals, of which there we heaps!” wrote Paint My Bike on their Facebook page. “Hours of time applying them all. We then sprayed each of the custom candy colours, after which was the worst part of the job! Removing all the masks for the decals.”

And all of the hard work that went into creating the custom ride seems to have paid off. “As soon as Katy received it she jumped on and rode off, I guess a true sign she loved it,” wrote Paint My Bike.

“We bike everywhere, even bike to the venue. It has inspired a bunch of the crew members and there’s like 20 bikes on this tour,” Perry said in a interview reported by the Herald Sun.

With cycling’s well-documented impact on happiness, perhaps the singer’s next upbeat hit will be inspired by her new ride.
