Justin Timberlake Thrills Kids With Appearance at Portland Bike Bus

Pop star Justin Timberlake made a surprise appearance on the weekend with a bike bus group of kids in Portland, Oregon.

The group, which went viral in October with a social media request for Timberlake to join while in town for a concert, welcomed the singer for a half-mile ride to Alameda Elementary School. The TikTok post garnered 6.9 million views, while the Instagram version racked up 4.5 million.

Around 200 cyclists, including families and children, participated. Timberlake’s team played hits such as “Mirrors” along the route, and the singer posed for photos with kids before heading off.

“Thank you @coachbalto for letting me and @thetnkids join your morning ride yesterday. You’re bringing joy to a lot of people out here,” wrote Timberlake in a social media post following the ride.

Balto, a former phys-ed teacher, founded the Alameda bike busy in 2022 after being inspired by the bici bus in Spain.

Bike busses, providing kids with a safe opportunity to ride their bicycles to school, has skyrocketed in popularity around the world.

Timberlake performs at the Moda Center in Portland tonight as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour.
