Douze Cycles Modular Cargo Bikes

The Messenger V2 and Traveller V2 cargo bikes from French company Douze Cycles are designed as versatile platforms for riders living in crowded urban places with limited storage space.

A modular design allows riders to customize the cargo bike to their specifications. A detachable front cargo section is available in three sizes, Compact, Standard, and Extra-Long (coming soon). Accessories for the cargo box add further customization options including an aluminum storage bin, retention tubes, a soft bag, and a child seat with harness and additional cover.

The front cargo section can quickly be detached from the rear of the bike, using Douze Cycles Fast Release System, to allow for small space storage and travel as needed. Base models include fenders and an 8- or 11-speed Shimano Alfine internal-gear hub.

Depending on options and accessories added, the complete bike weighs around 53 pounds (24 kg) with an impressive load carrying capacity of up to 440 pounds (200 kg) including the rider.
