The Globe Women’s Live 3 has a carbon belt drive system with a Shimano eight-speed internally-geared rear hub. The bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, flat-resistant tires and an integrated front rack. It comes in white.
Pros
The Globe Live 3 Mixte is a beautiful bike – I received many compliments from passers-by – that also rides smoothly. The brakes are fantastic and the gears are simple to shift, making hills very manageable. The overall structure and weight of the bike provided a lot of stability while riding and the seat was relatively comfortable. The kickstand has two legs, which helps stabilize the bike while it’s parked, particularly if there are items in the basket.
Cons
The basket looks great, but it’s not very functional. Because it’s so shallow, it makes it hard to carry much of anything without cords and other equipment to tie things down. Because the sides are so open, smaller items slide out easily. The basket also has a metal bottom, which reflected the sun into my eyes at certain angles.
Ideal Rider
This bike’s design and functionality makes it ideal for female commuters and recreational/ casual bike riders.
Overall
This bike gets lots of style points. It has effective breaks and is an overall smooth ride – fantastic for commuting. I only wish that the basket was a little more practical.
