Three years in the making, Lectric eBikes has released a new electric cargo bike dubbed the XPedition.

The bike is already garnering rave reviews from those who have tested it out, both for performance and features but more importantly for the price at just $1,399 for the single battery model, or $1,699 for dual battery.

Some have even described the bike as a poor person’s Tern GSD at about 20 per cent of the price.

Like any good cargo bike, the Lectric XPedition is designed to carry cargo and kids. The bike can fit two rear seat cushions with running boards. There is a payload capacity of up to a whopping 450 lbs.

The bike has an estimated range of 150 miles on a single charge (dual battery), although that will vary depending on cargo and terrain, with a 48V Lithium-Ion battery.

A 750W rear hub-motor (1310W Peak) with 85Nm of torque delivers power and speed quicker than ever before with a rigid frame design.

It also comes with a line of smart accessories to maximize the functionality of the cargo bike such as an aluminium “orbiter” to provide a tough frame to keep precious kids and cargo protected, as well as different styles of cargo racks, pet carriers, kid’s seats, and more.

The Lectric XPedition is said to have a smooth feel with a cadence senor and current limiting feature on the pedal assist. It also boasts hydraulic disc brakes, huge rear rack, and big three-inch tires with an urban tread.

Apparently, the bike even arrives fully assembled. How great is that?
