LIGNE 8: A Commuter Line with Style and Function

Having carved out a career as an executive for a number of New York City fashion brands, Cecilia Allen wanted to create clothes that fit her own lifestyle. Particularly, she wanted fashionable, classic-styled clothing that she could cycle in without sacrificing either form or function. In August of 2014, LIGNE 8 was born.

LIGNE 8 offers stylish, comfortable clothing made with high-tech fabrics and design elements crafted with daily bike riders in mind. “LIGNE 8 was created initially with the commuter cyclist in mind,” said Allen. “And we built on this idea to design clothing for anyone who leads an active lifestyle requiring stylish, comfortable and versatile items which offer quality at an affordable price point.”

The brand also takes care to address what they perceived to be a void in choices for women in active fashion, designing a full women’s line that is as practical as it is fashionable.

From classic jeans designed with freedom of mobility in mind to sleek jackets with visually-subtle ventilation in the back, LIGNE 8’s commuter line is an excellent addition to any style-conscious commuter’s wardrobe.
