Opus’ Porto W is a 33.3 pounds (15.1 kg) city bike with a beautiful coral brush paint job. The Porto W has a number of Shimano quality components, including it’s 7-speed shifters, cogs, and rear derailleur. The black saddle and black Dual PU leather grips match perfectly with this bike’s black 26 X 2.0 inch tires. The Porto W is a complete upright city bike that includes a matching chainguard, double kick stand, fenders, and a rear rack.

TELL YOUR FRIENDS

The pretty, light, and upright feel of Opus’ Porto is great for cruising around the city. This is a bike that definitely turns heads. It has an awesome look to it with a matching chain guard and rear rack; nice, fat balloon tires; and a great, firm stock saddle. It also handles well on different kinds of terrain including gravel.

WISH LIST

The rear rack (which is beautiful and matches the bike) design could benefit from a smaller triangle or varied rack clipping options to allow for bags and baskets that are either smaller or larger than the current triangle allows for. Panniers with traditional top rack clips will work perfectly fine but you will want to look closely at the width and height of the bag itself doesn’t lean through the triangle and touch the wheel. The chainguard was great for keeping grease off my pants but you will want to visit your trusted bike shop mechanic a few times to adjust the chain tension so it is tight enough not to clang against the chainguard.

IDEAL RIDER

The Opus Porto W is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a no-fuss, beautiful, upright city bike. A great choice for everyday city riding or weekend no-sweat, recreation.

SUMMARY

I tested both the Opus Porto and the Opus Classico at the same time to see if there was a big difference in the riding experience and to my surprise there was very little riding difference. The Porto comes with a more comfortable stock seat and the Classico has bigger wheels. If I closed my eyes, I really couldn’t tell which bike I was riding, so if you’re trying to decide between the two, I’d go with what color you prefer.

Opus has thought about every part of this bike and included matching components so that all you need to purchase are lights and a pannier or basket to carrying items. It is stylish, simple, yet complete, and offered at a great price. It”s the perfect bike for those who like to turn heads or get complimented.
