The Pashley Britannia has a traditionally lugged and brazed frame with Sturmey Archer five-speed internal hub gears, Sturmey Archer hub brakes and alloy nonslip pedals. It comes with a Brooks B67s saddle in Honey color and Schwalbe Tyres in Cream.

Pros

The Britannia is a beautiful, classic and feminine bike. It has a sleek “old world” look to the frame, which comes in the colors red, white and blue. The internal hub makes changing gears a breeze. The chain guard is a nice touch for protecting your clothes. And the front light is pedal-powered!

Cons

The basket didn’t rest evenly on the metal bracket designed to support it. And the fender holding bracket made a squeaking noise from the metal on metal contact.

Ideal Rider

This bike is ideal for female recreational and commuter riders.

Overall

The Pashley Britannia is a smooth ride. It is simple to use and has an elegant look that is built to last. The bright red finish of my bike was a head-turner and the basket is useful as well as stylish. The Brittania is the definition of a elegant bike for the bike lifestyle.
