Po Campo Introduces New Petals Pattern for 2015

The initial sketches

When Po Campo set out to design their new pattern for 2015, they knew they wanted two things: a new color to add to their line, and a floral pattern. Their research sprung from those two simple requirements. Looking through color and style trends for 2015, they settled on the bright, rich shade of African Violet and the classic yet trendy style of watercolor.

With those two ideas in mind, they were ready to go. Gloria Urech is the surface designer of Gukuuki studio, a UK-based print design studio. Po Campo reached out to Urech and sent her the specifications they had for the new pattern. Urech, a skilled designer who is no stranger to floral patterns, sent them back a few sketches. After a bit of back and forth and a few rounds of edits, this bright, fun pattern was ready to go!
