Given that cruiser bikes are meant for the beach, where there is often salt water, one would not expect Priority to have the only belt-driven cruiser on the market, but they do. And now there is a sweet new e-Coast that has just hit the market and is on sale now with a whopping $200 discount to celebrate its arrival.

“After the success of our traditional Coast model, we began working to bring an electric version to customers who seek the beach cruiser aesthetic with the mobility of an e-Bike. We purposely designed The e-Coast to be like a seafaring vessel; it is the perfect marriage of beach cruiser comfort, extended travel distance of an electric bicycle, and the hassle-free maintenance Priority is known for,” said David Weiner, founder and CEO of Priority Bicycles. “It always feels good to be an innovator and bring something to market people have never seen before, especially for riders who want to focus more on enjoying the sand and water and less about how it’s creating wear and tear on their ride.”

Price: $1,999

Features

The new e-Coast features a Gates Carbon Drive belt instead of a chain so there is no issues with rust on those beachside tours. The bike also features a rust-resistant frame.

There is a 500-watt rear hub motor that offers a 60-mile range (varies based on rider weight, pedal assist level, and conditions) and boasts a top speed of 28 mph. It also features a throttle and five-level pedal assist.

The battery sits nicely intergrated into the rear rack and is removable.

It isn’t a cruiser without some features directed squarely at rider comfort, and the e-Coast does not disappoint offering gigantic three-inch wide tires to absorb pretty much anything a sandy beach or boardwalk can throw at it.

The new e-Coast also offers a few accessories aimed squarely at the beachside-living set including a set-up to carry a surfboard on the bike.

Summary

At the end of the day, the Coast beach cruiser is probably one of, if not the, tops in the market. Adding the Priority e-Coast cruiser option just makes a lot of sense. At almost $2,000 it isn’t the cheapest option for the beach, but it’s one that is built for comfort, and built to last.
