Kyle Huinink and Amber Putsey are soon-to-be parents that are getting excited about raising their family by bike.
“I want to raise our kid with the mindset that you can be more sustainable and more patient in life,” said Huinink who has recently started his own custom design business in Vancouver, BC.
Incorporating biking into their daily lives, whether it be commuting to and from work or weekend adventures to Wreck Beach, has made Putsey and Huinink feel much happier. Recently, this biking duo has been venturing out for weekend trips by bike to Mayne Island and Victoria, BC.
Quickly approaching their May 15, 2014 due date, Putsey and Huinink are busy researching when and how they can start biking with their newborn. Both are eager to start testing trailers, without their new baby first, to first see how safe they feel. Then, as their child grows older, they hope to introduce trailer riding into their every day life.
Spring is in the air, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the excitement of having a baby for this couple is full steam ahead!
