IXOW is a new developer and manufacturer of bike components with a focus on storage and security. The Stempark is the first threadless system bicycle stem with an incorporated mechanism to turn the handlebars so they are in line with the rest of the bike. Ideal for straight and some swept-back handlebars that cause storage inconveniences in an urban lifestyle.
When space is taken into consideration, having handlebars that align with the bike’s frame reduces the width by 50 percent. This is also especially important for overcrowded urban bike racks, or bikes with a handlebar height that impedes potential lock spots. The appearance of an altered handlebar also deters bike thieves when a bike is parked in public. The Stemlock adds additional security to the technology with a lock mechanism that makes the bike entirely unrideable and unable to be resold by a thief. Specific tools are required to dismantle the Stemlock.
IXOW thoroughly understand the potential safety risks with a rotating handlebar on a bike and has dedicated a lot of time to proving the legitimacy of their products. The release mechanism is secured and will not release without proper execution. A comprehensive anti-theft system can accompany the Stempark with uniquely designed wheel and seat locks. IXOW has recently announced a partnership with ARG Sports enabling distribution of IXOW’s products to Canada.
