Meet the Hupi Wagon, the latest sensation causing waves in the e-biking and camper realm. Unveiled at the Lahti Caravan trade fair last fall, this versatile mini-caravan is already gaining some serious fanfare. Are you ready for an exhilarating twist on the classic e-bike experience? Look no further!
Curated for the modern, environment-conscious traveler, the Hupi Wagon is a solar-powered marvel that offers the freedom to charge your e-bike batteries while you take a break from the road, even if you’re up in sunlit Lapland. The brainchild of Urpo “Upi” Merranmaa, this self-sufficient, eco-friendly travel trailer is designed with sleeping space for one, making it a cozy mobile home for adventurous spirits.
Not just that, the Hupi Wagon is also a remote worker’s dream come true. Equipped with a solar panel, it keeps your mini-fridge cool and your laptop charged, providing a perfect workspace amidst nature.
There is an increase in all things bicycle and trail these days, including a number of DIY bike camper projects with varying degrees of success, but this product is ready to roll.
While it mirrors the aesthetics of a traditional mobile home on the outside, its inside is a testament to advanced design. The Hupi Wagon can easily be attached to any e-bike and pulled along bike paths, owing to its slim profile and lightweight — akin to having a silent, non-complaining passenger aboard.
Starting at a modest €5,990, or about $6,500US the basic Hupi Wagon can be enhanced with a variety of accessories to make your journey even more enjoyable. Solar panels of different capacities, inverters, mini-fridges, upper cabinets, and even a television can be added as per your preferences.
The Hupi Wagon, now in its prototype stage, measures 200 cm in length, 106 cm in width, and stands 131 cm tall, with a rim size of 10″. It weighs in at a comfortable 65 – 70 kg, excluding accessories.
Don’t yet own an e-bike? Worry not! The company also offers a selection of high-quality bikes that would perfectly complement a Hupi stroller. So gear up for an eco-friendly camping experience that goes beyond just pitching a tent and dealing with unexpected showers.
