If you are one of those square cyclists living in a round-peg world, we have just the thing for you. A new video shows the building and operation of a working model of a bicycle with square wheels.

The video is done by YouTube channel The Q created by Sergii Gordieiev, which has a number of other weird and wonderful inventions including a few with bicycles such as one that wraps around a pole.

The video shows a painstakingly long process of constructing the working wheels from machining down and welding the steel bars by hand, to figuring out how to attach the rollers and spokes to the wheels and much more.

In the end, the bicycle doesn’t seem all that practical, but it does pedal and turn. And, it certainly shows that anything is possible, especially when it comes to bicycles.
