Yoga for the City Rider – Hip Openers

Pigeon pose is a favorite among yoga lovers; I find it to be a deeply relaxing pose, and, as a cyclist, the pose can be incredibly freeing for hips that get tight from pedaling, sitting, and standing in such linear ways.

In yoga class you will often end up in pigeon pose but not all pigeons are created equally. Here are three variations; at least one will suit your body type and level of experience.
