The ABUS Urban-I v.2 Neon Helmet is available in size Medium or Large in neon orange, neon blue, neon green, or neon purple (neon purple is only available in size Medium). The bicycle helmet has a removable visor and large reflectors on the back. There is removable, washable padding for comfort and a half ring made of flexible plastic and a ZOOMLite adjustment wheel for size adjustment.

TELL YOUR FRIENDS

The neon colors available are fantastic for being seen and combined with the large, integrated LED rear light with 180-degree visibility, and large reflective strips, it’s the ideal helmet for those looking for maximum visibility. The “Fidlock” magnetic chin strap clip is easy to use one handed and I like the flynet in the front air vents that is designed to keep critters from flying into your helmet!

WISH LIST

I wish it fit better. The “ZOOMLite” adjustment wheel was finicky and I was unable to get a snug fit, it was either too loose or too tight. Plus the wheel pulled at my hair when I turned it.

SUMMARY

The bright neon colors are a bit of a double edged sword. They’re great for being seen, but evoke the feeling of a child’s toy quality, which tends to suggest you aren’t to be taken seriously. You wouldn’t want to wear it to a Sunday morning roadie group ride; it’s more for enjoying a leisurely cruise or commuting. It’s definitely the perfect helmet for a city biker who wants to be more visible on the road.
