The Convercycle could be a game changer for urban mobility, and a dream come true for others. It’s like a Transformer for the city bike crew with the ability to operate as a traditional bicycle one day, and convert to a cargo bike as required in one very versatile frame. We might be in love.

A Transformative Cargo Companion

The Convercycle Bike is more than a mode of transportation; it’s a solution for everyday life. Its versatile cargo basket, with a generous 40 cm x 60 cm loading area, is a game-changer for urban dwellers. Whether it’s crates of refreshments, packages, musical instruments, or last-minute purchases, the Convercycle has you covered. Gone are the days of fretting over parking spaces and emissions – this bike allows you to glide through the city, carrying your life’s essentials in an eco-friendly and sporty manner.

Riding Made Easy

In its folded form, known as the “city mode,” the Convercycle Bike delivers the kind of maneuverability that urban cyclists need. With a small turning radius and a comfort level akin to a standard bicycle, it ensures that you can navigate the city streets effortlessly. The Convercycle adapts to your daily routine, making city living an adventure.

A Bicycle for All

Have a four-legged companion you’d like to bring along? The Convercycle makes it possible. Its adherence to the Euronorm dimensions of 40 cm x 60 cm for the cargo basket accommodates suitable crates and animal transport boxes, making your pet’s journey just as enjoyable as yours.

Seamless Integration with the City

The Convercycle’s compact design shines when it comes to public transportation. In City mode, its 2-meter length allows for easy access to train and bus compartments, enhancing your multi-modal commuting experience. No need to worry about fitting it into tight spaces; the Convercycle adapts effortlessly.

Parking woes become a thing of the past with the Convercycle Bike. Its compactness enables you to nimbly navigate bicycle cellars, hallways, and even climb a step or two. You can confidently leave it in a bicycle garage or connect it to a fence, knowing that your Convercycle is safe and secure.

A Ride for the Whole Family

The Convercycle isn’t just a personal endeavor; it’s a journey for the whole family. You can mount a standard child seat behind the saddle, allowing for family adventures that embrace the flexibility of both City and Cargo modes.

Long journeys become an enjoyable experience with the Convercycle’s 28-inch wheels, making it a comfortable and versatile companion. Whether conquering curbs or navigating potholes, the Convercycle excels in both City and Cargo modes.

Ingenious Features

The Convercycle’s design isn’t just about its dual functionality. Foldable mudguards protect you and your cargo from splashing water in both modes. Its patented drive train ensures a seamless transition between modes, while easy-to-use locking bolts provide added safety and convenience. With a low-maintenance front hub motor, you’ll enjoy an all-wheel drive experience, making urban riding a breeze.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Behind the Convercycle E-Bike stands a dedicated team of visionary product designers, engineers, project managers, and creative minds hailing from Frankfurt am Main and Offenbach. Their collective mission is to revolutionize urban mobility by offering a sustainable alternative to conventional car travel. The Convercycle project took root in 2017 at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, in the faculty of industrial design. It was here that David Maurer-Laube, with a passion for creating a greener urban landscape, crafted the first design prototype as part of his studies.

Their motivation extends beyond mere mobility and transportation – sustainability is at the heart of their endeavor. They are committed to crafting a product that not only serves as an innovative urban solution but is also manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner, ensuring its longevity. Their extensive research led them to select steel as the frame material, recognizing its superior resource efficiency compared to common alternatives like aluminum and carbon fiber reinforced with plastic.

Currently available in the European Union, we are likely not the only ones hoping that changes sometime soon. The Convercycle is a wonderful example of transformative urban mobility.
