The Trek Cocoa comes standard with a Cocoa comfort saddle, swept back handlebars and a Shimano Nexus 3-speed internal gear hub. Its step-through frame and upright seating position are complimented by a Women’s Specific Design that caters to the unique dimensions of a female rider. Extras include a full coverage chainguard, skirt guard, fenders, a kickstand and puncture-resistant tires. The Trek Cocoa comes in gloss black with a 15” or 19” Alpha Aluminum frame.

Tell Your Friends

This bike screams comfort and style. Everything about it makes you feel like you should be cruising the streets of Amsterdam.

Wish List

I would like to see a version with a larger gearing range and a sturdier fastener for the skirt guard that would help keep it from easily falling off.

Ideal Rider

This bike is well suited for a girl who values fashion and wants her bike to be a functional extension of her personal style. She’ll appreciate the Trek Cocoa’s easy handling and comfort for leisure or short distance travels.

Overall

The Trek Cocoa’s retro, Dutch-style appearance and modern technology create a fun and functional bike. The bike handles well and the internal hub provides smooth transitions between gears. The Trek Cocoa won’t win any races but it’s perfect for getting around when hilly terrain is not an issue.

  • upgrade your rear tire to something super puncture resistant as soon as you get your first rear flat… getting the rear wheel off is a lot of work: chainguard has to be partially disassembled, brake cable has to be disconnected and shift box removed.
