Bicycles and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly, but never like this. The attention of the world wide web-sters has been captured by a Turkish man who brews coffee while riding his bicycle, ensuring that customers receive their coffee piping hot and freshly made.

There are many novel ways of carrying coffee on a bicycle, and they are wonderful, but this is new.

“The reason why I do this on a bicycle is because of its contribution to nature and this libertarian spirit. I chose the bicycle because it gives me the philosophy of being on the road,” he told the website Daily Sabah. “Now, after consuming coffee, there is a pulp left and this pulp goes to waste. However, this pulp is composted at home with egg shells and returned to nature. It can be recycled. By returning the resulting waste back to nature, I actually bring many things back to nature. I hope everyone could do this and contribute to nature.”

Coffee + Travel

For avid bicyclists and coffee enthusiasts alike, the idea of combining their love for biking with their need for caffeine is an appealing prospect. Whether you’re commuting to work, embarking on a leisurely ride, or exploring new destinations, having the ability to carry your favorite brew on your bicycle can enhance the experience. Fortunately, there are several innovative options available for cyclists to transport coffee safely and conveniently while on the go.

One of the simplest methods to carry coffee on a bicycle is by utilizing a sturdy, insulated water bottle or thermos. Many cyclists already have a water bottle cage mounted on their bike frame, making it easy to secure a thermos filled with hot coffee.

For bicyclists who prefer a more specialized solution, there are bicycle-mounted coffee cup holders available on the market. These holders attach securely to the handlebars or frame of the bike, providing a designated space to hold a standard coffee cup or travel mug. Some cup holders even feature adjustable arms or foam inserts to accommodate different cup sizes, offering versatility for cyclists with varying preferences.

Another creative option for carrying coffee on a bicycle is using a handlebar bag or bike basket with a built-in cup holder. These storage solutions provide ample space for stashing essentials such as keys, wallets, and snacks, while also offering a convenient spot to place your coffee cup.

For bicyclists who frequently embark on longer rides or bikepacking adventures, investing in a bike-mounted coffee brewing system may be worth considering. These compact and portable devices, such as the AeroPress or portable espresso makers, allow cyclists to brew fresh coffee on the go using ground coffee and hot water. While these brewing systems require additional preparation and equipment, they offer the ultimate flexibility for coffee-loving cyclists seeking a gourmet caffeine fix during their outdoor excursions.

So, yes, one could perfect the art of Turkish coffee on the go, or just admire that particular art from afar and perfect your own art of carrying your coffee instead.
