Folding bike brand DAHON shows off new models at China Cycle trade show

From May 5-8, the highly anticipated China Cycle exhibition took place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, bringing together more than 1,200 electric and non-electric bicycle industry players. Among the prominent participants was folding bike manufacturer DAHON, which presented its latest product lineup and garnered some serious buzz for its cutting-edge folding bike technology.

With the theme “Safer, Smarter, and Greener,” this year’s show aimed to highlight advancements in the bicycle industry. DAHON took the opportunity to showcase over 30 folding bicycles, including electric, non-electric, and children’s models. The booth attracted a significant number of visitors who were eager to explore the offerings and experience the brand’s innovative designs firsthand.

Notable exhibits at the DAHON booth included the cargo e-bike the Cargoe T5, designed to meet the demands of urban transportation, the lightweight carbon fibre folder Clinch C10, the versatile Archer P8, and the speedy commuter e-bike Unio E16.

One of the highlights of the event was the DAHON Racing Competition, which saw over 200 riders test DAHON’s patented Deltec technology on the Launch D8 bicycle. Deltec, a cable designed to enhance frame strength and stiffness, was showcased both on outdoor test tracks and inside the DAHON booth. Participants had the opportunity to experience the benefits of this groundbreaking technology firsthand, witnessing its ability to make single beam folding bikes more rigid, stronger, and faster than some large-wheeled mountain bikes.

China Cycle 2023 provided an excellent platform for DAHON to receive recognition from the bike industry. The company was acknowledged by China Cycle as one of the notable “Specialized, Refined, and Innovative bicycle” enterprises. Additionally, DAHON’s Sharing 360 technology drew the attention of numerous trade companies, sparking discussions about potential collaborations.

Cycling enthusiasts can anticipate the unveiling of DAHON’s latest models at upcoming bike shows, including Inabike in Jakarta, Indonesia (May 24th-26th) and Eurobike in Frankfurt, Germany (June 21st-25th).
