Soon, there will be very little one cannot do with a cargo bike. Case in point: heading out for some skiing. A new ski rack attachment has just hit the market from French cargo bike purveyors Yuba. The invention of which leads us to wonder when others will follow suit and with what.
The Ski Rack is compatible with the e Spicy Curry and the Spicy Curry AT (All-Terrain) models.
The Ski Rack is equipped with the integrated Thule SnowPack M clamp and is designed to fit a wide range of skis. It has a lightweight aluminum design and easy installation making it easy to take on and off for trips to the hill, and it won’t slow riders down as they make their way to the resort for sustainable winter fun.
Cargo bikes have long been known for their usefulness in cities whether as delivery vehicles or as a replacement for the family car for taking the kids to school and gathering groceries. And long may they reign. But, extending their usefulness to other recreational areas is a boon. Skiing is just one example, why not cargo bike camping, or strapping on a paddleboard for beach days.
Clever companies like Yuba will see the trends, and design more and more attachments and modifications in the future to help keep CO2 emissions to a minimum.
The Ski Rack is available now on backorder with delivery in 2022 and priced at $350.
